COVID-19: Health and Safety Update

The health and safety of Primland’s guests and staff is always our top priority. With regard to the Coronavirus, we wanted to provide answers to questions you may have now and in the future.

Primland is open and have adjusted operations on our 12,000 property with reorganized services.

Keeping our guests and staff safe

With the health and safety of our guests and staff as our top priority, Primland has temporarily modified the following guest experiences.

  • Effective from 11:00 am March 17th  through Tuesday, March 31st, in alignment with social distancing recommendations from the CDC and the President of United States’ latest statement, prohibiting gatherings of more than 10 people, Primland has made the following modifications or suspended services:
    • The Observatory will be closed for star gazing until further notice
    • The spa will discontinue services starting March 20th at 7:00 pm until further notice.
    • Daily cleanings & turndown service will not be available but instead a form to request needed items.
    • Recreation facilities have been discontinued until further notice to include the gym, indoor pool/hot tub, and theater areas.
    • Property shuttles will no longer be in effect (with the exception of ADA Assistance shuttles).  
    • Animals will no longer be allowed in the Lodge & Cottages due to the unknown carrying capacity of the COVID-19 virus.  (with the exception of ADA Assistance)
    • Self-Valet is recommended (with the exception of ADA Assistance)
    • Dining:
      • A limited menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner will be available for guests to pre-order and pick up/ or have delivered. 
        • Menus will be offered at check-in and will be available in guest rooms
        • Menu orders will be available from 7:00 am – 11:00 pm
      • Creative distinctive dining locations have been set up for guests to enjoy their take-out meals – both indoors and outdoors (weather permitting)
        • No area will have more than 10 people, with social distancing in effect
      • Promotion of 20% discount on select wines is being offered 
      • Elements and Stables Saloon will be closed until further notice
  • All other activities are still available, again adhering to the 10 or less participants with social distancing in effect.
    • The scheduled Spa retreat,  “AWAKEN, A Retreat of Renewal”, for March 19th-22nd, has been CANCELLED
    • The Fly Fishing Weekend, scheduled for March 27th-28th, has been CANCELLED
    • The Carolina Clays Event for April 25th, has been CANCELLED
  • All group bookings / gatherings have been cancelled
  • All guests are asked to follow the CDC Guidance for preventative measures, including the practice of thorough and frequent hand washing and social distancing
  • If you are ill, are considered high-risk by the CDC’s guidelines or have a member of your immediate household who is sick or at high-risk, we ask that you please stay home and avoid close contact with others per DCD recommendations.
  • Stringent sanitation procedures are part of Primland’s daily operations.  In addition, hand sanitizers are available in convenient locations for guest use and our staff is receiving ongoing reinforcement for preventative measures following CDC and OSHA guidelines, as well as additional sanitizing throughout the day, throughout the property, in all areas.

SHOULD YOU CHANGE YOUR PLANS:

Primland will accommodate all guests who determine they are unable to travel as planned.  

  • If you choose to cancel your hotel reservations, we have adjusted our cancellation policy.  We will waive cancellation fees and issue refunds for arrivals scheduled for March 17th – April 30th, 2020 or we can hold your deposit for a future reservation up till December 20th, 2020.
    • For reservations made after March 24th, regular cancellation policies will apply.
  • To cancel or reschedule your reservation by phone, please call 866.960.7746.  Calls are answered in the order received, please stay on the line to reserve your place.
