Food is one of life’s great pleasures. At Primland, we believe that amazing flavors happen when you cook with heart and soul, using seasonal farm-fresh products. We work closely with local growers and purveyors to hand-select only the freshest, most innovative organic and sustainable ingredients. The resulting flavors linger as fond memories long after the meal has come to an end.

Elements
At Elements, we showcase the natural abundance of the Virginia Highlands in elegant, inspired dishes. No matter what season you dine with us, Elements incorporates local, organic, and sustainable foods to create innovative and exciting cuisine. The result is a dining experience of harmonious flavors and beautiful presentation that give new meaning to “Farm to Table” dining.
Reservations are required to dine at Elements. Our dress code for dinner at Elements is Resort Best. This is the time and place to showcase your best resort wear. Most gentlemen choose to wear jackets, collared shirts and stylish slacks. Most ladies choose to wear dresses/skirts and stylish slacks. Dark denim is acceptable. Collarless shirts, shorts, tank tops, caps or pool /workout attire are not permitted.

Camaraderie and cheer abound in this lively bar well stocked with draught beers, single malts and favorite cocktails. Casual, hearty pub fare is served for lunch and dinner. Casual attire.
Our daily Happy Hour features select moonshine cocktails, which harken back to the region’s rich bootlegging history. Enjoy spirit tastings of whiskey, bourbon, scotch and moonshine. Outdoor dining on the patio is available seasonally.

Stables Saloon
Available year round for private parties and events, the Stables Saloon provides a rustic and secluded setting on the second floor of former horse stables. Every week during the summer season, the Stables Saloon hosts a bona fide Casual Southern Style Dinner, southern cuisine, buffet-style and a part of the Crooked Road Music Heritage. Primland proudly serves as an official venue to this special celebration. As part of the festivities, enjoy live blue grass music homespun outdoor recreation like cornhole games, horseshoes, croquet, volleyball, and badminton as well as disc golf and our children’s play set at the Stables Saloon. Classic fun.
Reservations suggested for both events. The Stables Saloon dining room is only accessible via stairs.

Chef's Table
Guests who wish to enjoy a memorable meal at the Element’s Chef’s Table will savor a seven-course tasting menu during dinner service in The Lodge kitchen. Our chef and dining room staff will attend to your meal as you dine “behind-the-scenes” in the specially designed Chef’s Table alcove.
The Chef’s Table may be reserved for up to 8 guests, priced at 175 dollars per person. If you wish a private dining experience at the Chef’s Table, there is an additional charge to secure the room exclusively for your party. Chef Ernest Bledsoe
Our Chef
Primland’s new Executive Chef Ernest Bledsoe served as executive chef for the four-diamond hotel, The Swag, a Southern Living Collection Hotel before joining Primland. Born and raised in South Florida, Bledsoe was exposed to a large variety of cooking styles, all of them focusing on fresh seafood and produce with a wide variety of cultural influences.
After earning his Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson and Wales University in Miami he trained as the right hand man to celebrity chef Oliver Saucy at the prestigious Café Maxx in Pompano Beach. He has also held executive chef positions at Pawleys Plantation Golf Club, Nalu’s Beach Bar in the Key West, Bliss Restaurant and Lounge in South Carolina, The Harbour Club in Charleston and more.
Chef Ernest uses some of the properties best local ingredients to cultivate seasonal menus and fresh dishes for all who visit and stay at Primland.
