Carl McDaniel
Hunting and Outdoor Activity Supervisor

Born in Staunton, Virginia Carl grew up in New Castle, a small town north of Roanoke, Virginia. Carl attended Virginia Tech's College of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences and received a BS in Forestry in 1986. Summer employment on cattle and Christmas tree farms reinforced a love of working outdoors.

Carl was first employed as a forester for Primtimber, Inc. in 1986, where his work included timber inventory, road location and wood procurement for Primtimber's logging and bundled firewood products divisions. Later, he worked as a hunting and fishing guide with Primland and was promoted to supervisor of the Hunting and Outdoor Activities Department in 1993.

Carl has earned NSCA Level I and NSCA Level II shooting instructor certification and is on the board of the Virginia Hunting Preserve Association. He is also a volunteer Virginia Hunter Education Instructor and a member of the Virginia Trappers Association.
