Food is one of life’s great pleasures. At Primland, we believe that amazing flavors happen when you cook with heart and soul, using seasonal farm-fresh products. We work closely with local growers and purveyors to hand-select only the freshest, most innovative organic and sustainable ingredients. The resulting flavors linger as fond memories long after the meal has come to an end.

Several dining options are available to you during your stay, ranging from the stylish elements dining room in The Lodge to the casual Stables Saloon or the relaxed 19th Pub.

A limited in-room dining menu is available from 11 pm – 7 pm.

This refined dining room, located on the main floor in The Lodge, evokes the elements of air, water, fire and earth while celebrating elemental flavors, with a focus on local, organic and sustainable foods. The food at elements, prepared with great care and thoughtfulness, sings with flavors as fresh and inspired as the ingredients we’ve gathered from local growers who are as committed to pleasure as we are. Matching wine selections to each course adds another dimension to your experience. Open for breakfast and dinner. Reservations are required to dine at elements. Smart, casual attire and jackets requested for gentlemen at dinner.

Afternoon Tea is served in the Great Hall from 4 pm – 5 pm.

Private Dining at 5th
For small group events and special celebrations, please inquire about 5th, our private dining room. Smart, casual attire with jackets is requested for gentlemen at dinner.

Chef's Table
Guests who wish to enjoy a memorable meal at the element’s Chef’s Table will savor a nine-course tasting menu during dinner service in The Lodge kitchen. Our chef and dining room staff will attend to your meal as you dine “behind-the-scenes” in the specially designed Chef’s Table alcove.

The Chef’s Table may be reserved for up to 12 guests, priced at 150 per person.

  • “Appellation”:
    Featuring above average wines hand-selected to compliment each course;
    additional charges of 75 per person plus gratuity and taxes.
  • “Premier Cru”:
    Featuring wines of slightly greater intensity hand-selected to compliment each course;
    additional charges of 95 per person plus gratuity and taxes.
  • “Grand Cru”:
    Featuring some of the finest wines from around the world hand-selected to compliment each course;
    additional charges of 125 per person plus gratuity and taxes.

The 19th Pub will be not be available for dining services from

Primland’s original Virginia dining facility, built atop the old stables, is available seasonally for breakfast or dinner and year-round for private parties and events. The Stables Saloon’s chef and culinary team have created classic and casual menus perfect for a hearty respite after a full day of activities. Casual attire.
