The Golden Eagle Tree House, which opened in the summer of 2011, is an utterly unique lodging experience. Set in the strong limbs of one of the oldest and most beautiful oak trees on our property, it was designed and prefabricated in France by renowned tree house architectural firm La Cabane Perchée.
La Cabane Perchée’s abiding love and respect for nature mirrors our own, and we are proud of the company’s dedication to sustainable building and the fact that they employ a special binding system that allowed them to situate the tree house without driving a single nail into the host tree.
With an inspiring view far across the Dan River Gorge, the Tree House is built of aromatic red cedar and sits at the edge the #4 green of our acclaimed Highland Course.. During your overnight stay you will enjoy every comfort you would expect of Primland, right down to the Frette robes and slippers and the L’Occitane en Provence bath products. In its own special way, the Golden Eagle Tree House offers a completely private and thoroughly luxurious way to experience the tranquility of Primland’s wild beauty.
